Wellbeing and Rewilding

“Fantastic weekend in an amazing place with wonderful, informed guides and lovely other guests.” – Ruth

Adults seeking an opportunity to focus on health and wellbeing and connect with nature in a relaxing environment and a rewilding landscape. This three day experience puts a unique spin on the wellbeing by focusing on nature connection, highlighting the amazing link between rewilding nature and rewilding ourselves.

Most of the activities are suitable for all audiences, including those with additional accessibility needs. However, some of the planned walks may include occasionally steep, uneven terrain. If you have questions about accessibility please get in touch.

Who are my hosts?

Imagine your weekend getaway…

You will receive a finalised itinerary and kit list via email in the fortnight ahead of the residential. All meals are included and will be served in our An Nead café or as a packed lunch to take with you. All activities are optional so please take time to rest whenever you wish. Please note: activities, locations, and timings may be subject to change.

Day One – Wellbeing and Rewilding

Settle into Dundreggan with our inviting centre and overnight accommodation surrounded in nature. We will then gather for movement and mindfulness in nature and gather for a guided walk through the ancient Caledonian Pinewood to consider all the reasons why we want to reconnect with nature. After some free time we will then regroup for some restoring hatha flow yoga led by Caoimhe and a calming dinner by the fire either in our cosy tipi or beside our river out in the wild.

Day Two – Wellbeing and Rewilding

Begin the morning with a refreshing breakfast and meet us at our waterfall for a forest meditation session. We’ll then collect our packed lunches and begin an adventure through Dundreggan to learn more about plants and placenames and how we as people connect to the wider landscape. After some free time we will reconnect together with slow flow yoga and once again have a nourishing meal by the fire in our cosy tipi or beside a soothing river in the wild.
Day Three – Wellbeing and Rewilding

On the final day we will consider how rewilding connects to yoga and meditation practice with a guided tree nursery tour exploring the beginning of a tree’s life through seeds. We will regroup once again for the final Hatha yoga session to recharge, lunch and go for another guided walk in nature or try fireside crafts such as lichen dyeing depending on the weather. Finally we will come together for a closing circle to share all your reflections of your weekend and what intentions you wish to take forward after your retreat. After our retreat comes to an end you are welcome to linger, reflect, and take time to slowly return to the wider world.
