Who is the Rewilding Experience for?
Adults looking to learn more about the nature and wildlife of the Scottish Highlands and develop a greater understanding of a rewilding landscape. If you are looking for a longer experience and more time with the experts who are making rewilding happen, check out our Rewilding in Action Experience.
Most of the activities are suitable for all audiences, including those with additional accessibility needs. However, some of the planned walks may include occasionally steep, pathless terrain. If you have questions about accessibility please get in touch.
Who is my host?

Franny Schlicke – Visitor Experience & Operations Supervisor.
Growing up in rural Aberdeenshire, with a great love for being outside in the hilliest parts of Scotland, she left to study Geography at Cambridge University, developing particular interests in political ecology, and biogeography. Determined to return to Scotland, upon graduating she moved to the Isle of Arran to work in outdoors education. A qualified Mountain Leader since 2021, her work has always involved guiding groups of all ages and abilities in some of the remoter parts of the Highlands and Islands. She has worked at Dundreggan Rewilding Centre since 2024, seeking to ensure that no visitor escapes without learning something of our ecological restoration work, and the role of Gaelic in this! As a Gaelic speaker, with a good understanding of Trees for Life’s varied projects, she represents the charity in interviews with BBC Alba and Radio nan Gàidheal.
